Your next posture/position is always your best!
Every humans health depends on changes during your workday. You are reducing health risks (wear) by alternately stress and relax your muscles in different magnitudes. But it is variation within reason, you always has to consider your body´s own conditions/limitations to be at your own best.
Position and movement
Always keep in mind at workstation:
- Upright position of your back.
- Lower back support.
- Upright neck.
- Relaxed shoulders.
- Head above shoulder (avoid vulture neck).
- Forearms and wrists with full support up until your elbow.
- Feet firmly and relaxed on floor.
- Table-height adjusted so that the angle between you and your forearm are about 90 degrees.
- Variation, work standing for a while, then sit down again.
- Move it, walk to your colleague/copyroom etc.
- Your monitors top should be at about eye-level.
- Optimal placement of monitor is about 70cm from your eye but also depends on monitor size.
- Your mouse should be handled with inward angled arms.
- Keyboard should be as low in height as possible.
- Vary between keyboard and mouse during the day, perhaps with short-commands.

Light
Always keep in mind at work:
- A personal workplace lighting, preferably adjustable.
- A non flickering light source.
- Minimize risk of reflexions.
- Exhilarating light at active areas.
- Calming and soft light at recreational areas such as kitchens, lounges etc.
- Avoid direct daylight onto your monitor.

Sound
Always keep in mind at workstation:
- On average, a daily noise level that never exceeds 85 decibels.
- Preventive actions, damping materials and solutions are in use.
- Preventive choices are being made upon purchase, for example sound absorbing separation walls/tables.
- Plan rooms with sound risks in mind. Knowledge are your key to a better sound environment.

Color
Always keep in mind at workstation:
- Right contrasts on your monitor, neither to strong or weak.
- Color affects people positively and negatively, right choice of color can enhance properties or messages.

Air
Always keep in mind at workstation:
- An efficient ventilation prevents growth of mites and microorganisms.
- An efficient ventilation creates a fresher environment, healthier environment.
- An efficient ventilation increases co-workers performances.
Work preventive, use your common sense and remember your body speaks to you if your are willing to listen, right?
